How did ‘Padhoge Likhoge’ happen?
Manoj [Muntashir] sir, who was associated with the show Indian Idol, called me few months ago and asked me to come to Mumbai for a recording. There I was introduced to the music director of this film Arman Malik. They liked the recording and decided to use it in the movie. I must thank director Neeraj Pandey and Arman Malik for showing faith in me.
How have your fans and listeners reacted to this song?
My teachers and friends are very happy for me. My teachers said they felt proud and liked the song very much as it has a motivational message for children.
What was the reaction from members of the film fraternity?
Director Neeraj Pandey wrote a letter congratulating me and said I was a great talent. Arman and Amal Malik praised me for singing this song beautifully.
Did you get to meet Dhoni or Sushant?
No. I could not meet them as they were not at the studio during the recording. Hopefully, I will meet them during the promotion if they invite me.
You are appearing for Class X examinations this year. How are your preparations going?
I am preparing very hard. Now I practice only in the mornings with my master Guru Chittaranajan Pani.
Do you have any projects in the pipeline?
After ‘Agastya’, I had sung for the Oriya film ‘Baby’ which is to be released during Dussehra.
