Bhubaneswar: Entry ticket to any museum in Odisha will not be more than Rs 10, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said Wednesday.
Patnaik also directed not to collect any entry fee from students, artisans and weavers.
The direction was given to make the museums more popular and to help more tourists to visit the museums.
The museums play an important role in the conservation and promotion of our great heritage and the objective of the direction to keep the entry fee at Rs 10 is to help people, particularly the youths, well acquainted with our art and culture, CM Patnaik said.
Besides the Odisha state Museum, the state has other museums including the Odisha State Maritime Museum at Cuttack, Kalabhoomi Odisha Crafts Museum, Odisha State Tribal Museum and others.
