Sundargarh: Koida Block Development Officer (BDO) in Sundargarh district Pallabi Rani Raj Wednesday lodged an FIR against her father and brother at Koida police station alleging assault.
BDO Raj alleged that Tuesday night her father Ramesh Chandra and brother Sangram Kumar entered her official residence and beat her up. They also assaulted assistant engineer Abhishek Panigrahi.
Pallabi mentioned in the FIR that his brother – who is a contractor in Koida – had a heated argument with her over the clearance of pending bills related to contractual work.
It can be mentioned here that Pallabi has been in news for some time now. In recent past, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) had demanded Pallabi’s transfer over allegations of corruption and nepotism. They had also performed a six-hour bandh in Koida last week.
