Bhubaneswar: The death of a girl at MLA colony quarters in Bhubaneswar got murky as the girl turned out to be a niece of an MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) in Odisha, a source said Monday.
According to the source, the deceased girl was studying Plus-II Arts at a private college in Bhubaneswar. For the past several years, she was staying at the colony with her brother.
The source informed that she was found hanging Sunday.

After being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
Police have seized the deceased’s phone and recorded statements of her family members.
However, the exact reason behind the girl’s death is yet to be ascertained.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
