Kendrapara: The Jamboo Marine police in Kendrapara district have arrested two youths for allegedly kidnapping two minor girls.
According to Soumyaranjan Biswal, IIC of Jamboo Marine police station, the incident occurred September 19 when the two girls were on their way to school.
The accused reportedly sprayed a chemical substance on the girls, causing them to lose consciousness, and then abducted them in a vehicle. One of the classmates of the kidnapped girls informed a school teacher about the incident, enabling the police to act promptly.

The accused, identified as Indrajeet Pal (28) and Tarun alias Buddhadeb Dehury (27) of Ramnagar village, later abandoned the girls near the school, apparently frightened by the police response.
The two accused were produced before the ADJ-cum-Special POCSO Court under Sections 194, 115(2), 137(2), 142, 351(2), 351(4), 74 which sent them to judicial custody.
