Bhubaneswar: Former minister and Biju Janata Dal vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra escaped unhurt after a cement-laden truck collided with his car near Kamaladeipur Chhak on the Narsinghpur main road in Cuttack district Thursday.
The truck struck the side and rear of Mishra’s car, damaging the vehicle. Mishra, however, escaped unhurt.
Police reached the spot after being alerted and detained the truck driver for questioning.
Further investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident is underway.
