Baripada: Mayurbhanj Revolutionary Youth and Students’ Association (MARYSA) under the leadership of its president Arjun Murmu Wednesday gheraoed Baripada Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) accusing its administration of embezzling funds meant for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe (SCST) students.
According to Murmu, the sanctioned funds are not utilised in an appropriate manner by ITDA. Deserving students are deprived of availing basic amenities such as electricity and meals as the ITDA administration misuses the funds.
“If the administration doesn’t solve the issue within 15 days, then we will be forced to stage a strike in front of the college,” the agitators warned.
