New Delhi: Hindi film industry superstar Anil Kapoor got emotional as he remembered his late friend and actor Satish Kaushik after coming across his lookalike on his latest show “India Ke Top 1%”.
Kapoor met Kaushik’s lookalike named Gagan and went on to recall his bond with the actor. The videos have been circulating online.
“My bond with him, I cannot explain. Even if this shoot were 70 minutes long, it would not be enough to tell his stories. He was a very, very dear friend of mine, but apart from that, his talent and fun were excellent,” he said.
“Agar mera koi judwa bhai ban sakta hai, to wo sirf Satish tha, kyunki usko mere baare mein har cheez pata thi, mera gussa, meri khushi, har cheez. He knew me so well (If I would have had a twin brother, it would have been Satish. He knew everything about me, my anger, my happiness and everything,” he added.
Kaushik died in 2023 at the age of 66. The actor suffered a heart attack and died on the way to the hospital in Gurugram. The actor has starred in over 100 films.
After spending 40 years in films, Kaushik won his first National Film Award for the 2019 Haryanvi film Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti, which he also produced and starred in. The film won Best Feature Film in Haryanvi Language at the 67th National Film Awards.
