Raurkela: Police Friday detained three people for questioning over the alleged accommodation of an adult film actor at the government-run Circuit House in Raurkela December 1, 2025, as investigators examine how the room was allotted and whether official procedures were followed.
Those detained include the owner of a local travel agency, the son of a retired SP-rank police officer and a co-owner of a private firm in Uditnagar, sources said.
The inquiry began Thursday evening after videos allegedly posted by the actor on social media showed parts of her journey from Jharsuguda airport to Raurkela and interiors of the Circuit House.
By her own admission, she received a “royal treatment” and was allowed to stay in a suite. In the video, she was heard saying, “As you can see, I am going to stay at the Circuit House. I was never in a position in which I could stay in a circuit house. Only top officers get to stay here… So, the people on whose invitation I am here are no small fry.”
“I have a meeting with the (retired) SP and his son. I have come here for the biggest project of my life. I won’t reveal further,” she was heard saying in the video posted almost 10 months ago.
As part of the probe, police have questioned Circuit House staff, the owner of the luxury vehicle and its driver. Investigators are also examining the booking records, circumstances surrounding the room allotment and the stated purpose of the visit.
A senior police officer said, “We have questioned the persons who brought the woman to the city. After questioning them, they were released as no illegality or crime was committed in the case.”
It might be a case for the civil administration as to how the woman got the facility, he said.
