New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, Wednesday contributed Rs 93,89,461 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the devastation caused by extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani in the state.
AIIMS director Randeep Guleria handed over a cheque to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Odisha Bhawan here.
While talking to the media, AIIMS director Randeep Guleria said, “Seeing large scale devastation caused by the tropical cyclone Fani, the fraternity of AIIMS, New Delhi, decided to extend a helping hand to the people who have lost their property and livelihood in the cyclone.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik thanked the AIIMS fraternity for their contribution to the Chief Minister’s relief fund and thanked for successful surgery of Jaga and Kalia, the conjoined twins, who were separated by the doctors of AIIMS.
