Anandapur: 20 hurt in honeybee attack

Anandapur: As many as 20 persons were injured including one of them critical after honeybees attacked them at Suanpada haat ground under Ramachandrapur police limits here in Keonjhar district, Sunday. Among them, a youth Debashis Jena was rendered critical and shifted to Cuttack for advanced treatment. A trader Madhabananda Sahu said that the incident occurred when honeybees from a beehive on an overhead water tank suddenly attacked the people assembled at the haat when it opened for trading. People ran helter-skelter to save their lives as honeybees chased and stung them. The haat ground was vacated within a few minutes, he added.
