Andhra officials hold public meeting in Odisha’s Kotia panchayat

Koraput: In an attempt to win over local populace, Andhra Pradesh government officials allegedly held a public meeting with residents of Kotia Panchayat in Koraput’s Pottangi block Thursday, a source said Friday.

Andhra officials conducted a government programme at Naradabalsa in Kotia Panchayat where they tried to lure the underprivileged population via the ‘Jagananna Suraksha Scheme’, the source added.

The source further informed that residents from Ganjeipadar, Kotia, Sembi, and Dhulipadar areas attended the meeting.

Several public representatives from Andhra Pradesh along with officials were also present at the meeting.

The officials actively tried to convince the people to take advantage of the scheme and distributed various materials among them, the source said.

However, at the time of filing this report, no response could be obtained from the Koraput district administration regarding this matter.
