Tihidi: Police recovered the body of an ANM Saturday which was found hanging in a rented house at Purunahat locality under Tihidi police limits in Bhadrak district.
The deceased identified as Sujata Sujasnata Das was working as an ANM at Alinagar primary health centre in the area.
The deceased’s mother Anupama Mohanty filed a complaint at Tihidi PS alleging preplanned murder for dowry. On the basis of the complaint, police have arrested the ANM’s husband Gyanaranjan Das and forwarded him to court, Saturday.
As per reports, Sujata Sujasnata, daughter of Niranjan Mohanty of Bahudarada village under Rural PS, Bhadrak was married to Gyanaranjan Das, son of Narayan Das of Maharampur village in 2015. By profession, Gyanaranjan is a teacher. Both were living in a rented house in the Purunahat area coming under Tihidi PS for the last few years.
Friday, her parents reached the spot after getting the news that Sujata committed suicide by hanging. Later they complained at the police station.
