Bhubaneswar: Odisha health department Tuesday said that 140 persons who earlier tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered and are being discharged.
Out of the 140 persons, 24 are from Cuttack, 22 from Ganjam, 21 from Nuapada, 11 each from Jajpur, Khurda and Jagatsinghpur , eight from Sundargarh, seven each from Bolangir and Bhadrak, five from Dhenkanal, three each from Bargarh, Kendrapara and Sambalpur, two each from Balasore and Puri.

With this, total recoveries in the state now stand at 2,133.
According to state government data as of Tuesday, 3,140 people have so far been tested positive for COVID-19 in the state out of which 996 cases are active, 2,133 have recovered and nine persons have died. Another two persons died of co-morbidities while undergoing COVID-19 treatment.
It may be mentioned here that the state reported 146 new COVID-19 cases earlier in the day. Of the 146 new cases, 127 were reported from different quarantine centres where people returning from different states are lodged for observation. Remaining 19 cases were detected during the contact tracing.
The state health department has so far tested 1,82,384 samples out of which a total of 2,969 samples were tested Monday.
