Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan has kickstarted shooting for his next film Jawaani Jaaneman. The film also stars Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia Furniturewalla as Saif’s onscreen daughter. It is a father-daughter story.
Last year, Jawani Janeman’s producer Jay Shewakramani took to Instagram to announce Saif Ali Khan’s association with the film. The actor is co-producing the film.
It would have been interesting to watch real father-daughter duo Saif and Sara playing the roles on screen. A while back, there were rumours that Saif Ali Khan will play Sara’s father in Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal, co-starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead. Now, reports say that Saif is a part of the project but not as Sara’s father. He will be playing Kartik Aaryan’s father in the film. The film is scheduled to release on Valentine’s Day next year.
Apart from Jawani Janeman, Saif has many interesting projects lined up. The actor will star in Om Raut’s period drama, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior alongside Ajay Devgn. He will star in Pavan Kirpalani’s horror-comedy Bhoot Police. Saif will collaborate with Fatima Sana Shaikh for the first time in this film. Fukrey actor Ali Fazal will star in the lead role in the film.
