Baby python rescued in Balasore

Balasore: A six feet long python was rescued from a pond at Kesaripur village under Soro block in this district Sunday.

According to reports, Gajendra Naik from the village had set up a net to catch fish in his pond. When he took out the net Sunday morning, a baby python was found. The villagers immediately informed the forest personnel.

The forest officials reached the spot and rescued the reptile. The python might have slipped from a nearby hill and fell into the net, villagers said.
