‘Badmas Toka’ to hit the screen in June

“The ‘badmas toka’ (bad boy) in the film comes in contact with a kid and turns up good from bad. However, I have essayed role of the good boy and not the bad one in this love triangle. And since I have played the good boy I have got the privilege of romancing with the heroine,” said Shiba, who has acted opposite Malavika in the upcoming Oriya flick ‘Badmas Toka’. Udayan Aparajit, who has some Kannada film to his credit, has played the ‘badmas toka’ in the film.

 

“We were shooting at the Ramanaidu Film studio in Vishakhapatnam. Malavika and I were supposed to execute a romantic scene aboard a boat placed at 40 feet high of the ground. I was very nervous. I thought if I would fall ‘Badmas Toka’ will be wiped out. But thank God we could execute it without any hassle,” narrated Shiba about his shooting experience.

About his experience of acting opposite Bengal beauty Malovika Shiba said, “She is awesome and religiously cooperative. Even on some occasions she taught me the best way to get a perfect and shot and I did accordingly.”

“I am definitely nervous because this is my first film but on the other hand am very hopeful,” the debutant added.

Besides the lead actors ‘Badmas Toka’ casts veterans Mihir Das, Hari Mohapatra, Minaketan, Ashrumochan, Jiban Panda and Ratan Meher. The film is SK Entertainment’s first venture. Music of the film has been scored by P Kumar to the lyrics of Arun Mantri and Manas Sasmal. Dialogues have been written by Rajani Ranjan and the story is by Lingaraj Pati. The film is expected to release in the first week of June.
