Bail granted to Uzbek woman

Bhubaneswar: The sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) court here Tuesday granted bail to Zeboo Asalina, an Uzbek lodged in Jharpada jail. The girl was arrested on charges of assaulting cops when they tried to rescue her as she was in an inebriated condition on a street, July 23 night.
The girl was released on a personal bond of `30,000 and two sureties. The arrest and subsequent interrogation of the 22-year-old Uzbek led police to detain a youth named Tapas Jena of West Bengal July 29 who was accused of running a sex racket from a residential complex at Patia. Asalina, who claimed to be a resident of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, said she was allegedly lured into flesh trade. Police raided the house in Patia where she was residing.
An Aadhaar card was found in her possession which identified her as Duniya Khan, 22, a resident of Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi. During the raid at her Patia house, the police had found an air ticket booked in the name of Duniya Khan.
