Balasore CDMO, private clinic owner booked

Balasore, Dec 9: Days after the seizure of ultrasound machines at Koushalya Memorial Hospital and DN Ultrasound Clinic in Balasore, additional district medical officer BB Dasmohapatra Tuesday filed cases against their owners. DN Ultrasound clinic was owned and run from the residence of chief district medical officer (CDMO) Dr Anup Kumar Ghose.

It may be noted that a team of health officials headed by joint director of state institute of health and family welfare Dr Ranjita Patnaik had raided the clinics November 28 and seized ultrasound machines.

Dasmohapatra lodged a case against Koushalya Memorial Hospital with Town police station while the case against DN Ultrasound Clinic was filed at Shadebkhunta police station, under PNDT Act-1996.
