Battling Cyclone Arnab’s fury

Odisha faced nature’s fury as Cyclone Arnab unleashed powerful winds, torrential rain and widespread destruction. Uprooted trees, blocked roads, flooded streets, and submerged villages highlighted the storm’s devastating impact. Dark skies loomed over cities as relentless downpours and gusty winds brought daily life to a standstill. Waterlogged roads disrupted traffic, while fallen trees blocked movement and damaged infrastructure, adding to residents’ challenges. Public spaces also suffered extensive damage, with temporary structures collapsing under the force of the winds. A pandal came crashing down, while scattered debris and damaged installations reflected the cyclone’s intensity. Along the coastline, turbulent seas and towering waves lashed Gopalpur and Puri, creating dangerous conditions. Beaches remained deserted as people kept away from the rough waters, underscoring the risks posed by the storm.
