Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has set a target of generating Rs 1,054.33 crore from the sale of land and buildings in 2026-27, according to its budget estimates. The BDA has projected a surplus fund of Rs 1,909.59 crore for the financial year.
Among its major receipts, Rs 1,054.33 crore is expected from land and building sales, while Rs 1,203 crore is likely to be received from various deposits from the state government. The authority has also estimated Rs 30 crore from building plan approval fees, Rs 20 crore from construction charges, Rs 60 crore from stamp duty and Rs 25 crore from the allotment wing.
On the expenditure side, the BDA has proposed an outlay of around Rs 679 crore for infrastructure development under Town Planning (TP) schemes and the ‘Samrudhha Sahar’ scheme. It has earmarked Rs 60 crore for master plan road development and Rs 120 crore for development of CDP roads in Bhubaneswar.
Another Rs 2 crore has been allocated for developing playgrounds at various locations under the ‘B-ACTIVE’ programme. The development authority has proposed Rs 14.12 crore for development of cremation grounds in the City, Rs 22.45 crore for construction of LIG houses on seven acres at Subudhipur and Rs 8 crore for construction of boundary walls around government plots.
Besides, Rs 6.27 crore has been earmarked for development of the Sikharchandi project, Rs 11 crore for rehabilitation projects and Rs 30 crore for construction of new roads in BDA areas. An allocation of Rs 10 crore has also been proposed for external power infrastructure for the integrated township project at Jagasara.
