Mumbai: Pink actress Taapsee Pannu is known for her movie choices and impeccable statements. Born in Delhi  August 1, 1987, Taapsee belongs to a Sikh family.

From her school days, Taapsee has been a very good student and was very good at reading. Apart from this, she was also interested in sports. Taapsee did her schooling from Mata Jai ​​Kaur Public School, Delhi. She then studied engineering in computer science from the Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology.

Taapsee later worked as a software engineer for about six months before foraying into movies. During an interview, Taapsee said that she was always into acting. She was good in sports and studies as well but her heart was in acting.

During this time she auditioned for Channel V’s talent show ‘Get Gorgeous’. She got selected and the rest is history, as they say. She pursued a career in modeling and has worked with big companies including Coca Cola, Motorola, Pantaloon, PVR Cinemas, Dabur, Airtel, Tata Docomo.

After earning a name in the modeling world, Taapsee started getting offers from South Film Industry. In 2010, she made her big Telugu debut. She has acted with many big actors down south including Prabhas in Mr. Perfect and with Gopichand in another movie.

Later, Taapsee made her Hindi debut in 2013 with the film Chashme Baddoor, directed by David Dhawan. The film also starred south star Sidharth and Pakistani star Ali Fazal. However, the film didn’t do well at the box office.

But Taapsee was praised for her performance and got her next big offer. Taapsee got recognition from director Shoojit Sarcar’s film Pink. In this, her character was well appreciated by the audience as well as the critics.

After this film, Taapsee worked in a lot of movies. Tapsee’s main films include Baby, Naam Shabana, Soorma, The Ghazi Attack, Pink, Manmarziyaan, Badla, Mulk, Game Over and the latest release Thappad.

Taapsee is now in the news for her alleged rivalry with Queen actress Kangana Ranaut.
