Below 10 degrees Celsius at seven places

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Thursday said that prevailing cold wave condition would continue across the state for the next few days.
“The ongoing weather condition will continue for the next few days. The minimum temperature will be hover around 5 degrees and 15 degrees in almost all places over the state. Some isolated and interior pockets may witness severe cold during the night,” said director of Bhubaneswar Met Centre Sarat Sahu.
Asked about possibility of rain or fog, Sahu said, “The weather will remain dry in the state. The climatic condition indicates that there will be no fog.”
At least seven places of the state recorded a minimum temperature of less than 10 degrees Celsius Thursday.
State’s lowest minimum temperature 5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Phulbani town while it was 7 degrees at Daringbadi, 8 degrees at Sundargarh, 8.5 degrees at Jharsuguda, 8.6 degrees at Hirakud, 9.2 degrees at Keonjhargarh and 9.5 degrees at Bhawanipata.
The other places were recorded a temperature in between 10 and 15 degrees, the Met said.
