Bhadrak: Amid increasing cases of COVID-19 in Bhadrak, telemedicine service was launched at the district headquarters hospital Tuesday, so as to quicken the treatment of patients.
The administration has issued two toll free numbers 7655050867/76555050868 for people to seek treatment.
CDMO Dr Santosh Kumar Patra is supervising the service which will be available between 8 am and 5 pm. Seven doctors and two pharmacists are engaged in this service.
The district has reported one new COVID-19 case Wednesday, taking the tally to 394. 90 patients are undergoing treatment and 299 people have recovered from the disease. One patient succumbed to COVID-19 in the district, while three other died due to other diseases. Most of the coronavirus cases in the district were detected in temporary medical centres in Tihidi and Bhadaripokhari areas.
