Mumbai: Following the arrest of Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa in the drugs case, an old tweet of the comedian is going viral, in which she advised people not to take drugs.
Now, social media users are trolling her. Back in July 2015, Bharti wrote in her tweet, “Please stop taking drugs. It is harmful to your health.”
On Saturday, when it was revealed that Bharti Singh had been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on charges of taking drugs, a social media user shared her old tweet and wrote, “5 years ago Bharti Singh used to give knowledge on drugs.”
Another wrote, “This tweet proves that Bharti Singh is indeed a comedian. Mast joke mara re.”

Friday, a drug peddler named Bharti and Haarsh in an NCB inquiry. After this, Saturday morning the agency raided the houses and seized 86.5 grams of ganja.
When NCB questioned her, Bharti had confessed to taking cannabis with husband Haarsh. At the same time, her husband Harsh was questioned for nearly 18 hours and was arrested by the NCB Sunday morning.
The ongoing NCB action is the outcome of the probe into the drugs angle that has emerged after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June. Several prominent Bollywood personalities like Deepika Padukone, her former manager Karishma Prakash, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and others have been interrogated by the NCB.
Furthermore, nearly 20 persons including actor and Rajput’s live-in partner Rhea Chakraborty, who is now out on bail, and her brother Showik, have been arrested under various sections of the NDPS Act in the last three months.
