Bhubaneswar to be fully Wi-Fi enabled

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of ‘Swayat Shasan Dibas’ (Local Self Governance Day) observed by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the BMC Mayor informed that this capital-cum-smart city of Odisha will be made completely Wi-Fi enabled ahead of the Men’s Hockey World Cup here at Kalinga Stadium this year.

Talking to media, BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena informed that Bhubaneswar city is going to be completely Wi-Fi enabled.

He also informed that 100 more city buses will be plying for easy access of connectivity and public transport facilities.

Besides, walls will be painted across 80-km stretch in and around this historic Temple City ahead of mega sports event that is hardly 90 days more.

Notably, Odisha Government under the stewardship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is the chief patron of both the men and women hockey teams of India. Also being the host of the Men’s Hockey World Cup, the State Government is leaving no stone unturned to carve a niche in the international sports and tourism arenas.
