Chhatrapur: A man was killed in a road accident near Science College Square at Chhatrapur in Ganjam early morning Tuesday.
His pillion rider was critically injured. The deceased rider has been identified as Dharmendra Kar, and the injured pillion rider Sandeep Das.
As per reports, they were en route to their home at Simulia in Balasore from Bengaluru on a bike when Dharmendra reportedly lost control of his motorcycle, skidded and fell, hitting the divider.

Seeing them lying critically injured, some passersby called an ambulance and rushed both of them to Chhatrapur sub-divisional hospital.
Dharmendra was pronounced dead on arrival by the doctor at the hospital, while Sandeep is undergoing medical treatment.
Police reached the spot to launch an investigation into the matter.
