BIPF distributes study materials among kids

Rayagada: Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF), the social development wing of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) plant at Therubali in the district organised study materials distribution programmes among the schoolchildren in the area, Thursday.

The programme held under the supervision of IMFA vice-president KV Rao was organised in the schools under Therubali, Khedapada, Kartikaguda, Keliguda, Dumuriguda, Bhatapur, Badakhilapadar and Suri panchayats near Therubali.

Study materials like pen, pencils, rubber, copies, pencil cutters and geometry boxes were distributed among 4,890 children of 34 schools in eight panchayats.

Addressing the functions, IMFA vice-president Rao said that IMFA is committed towards development in education, healthcare, sports, drinking water and environment as its social responsibility in the peripheral areas and the Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation is always responsive towards it.

Sarpanchs of the concerned panchayats, public representatives, teachers, mediapersons and senior officials of IMFA group were present in the function.
