Hindi cinema superstar Salman Khan may be the most eligible bachelor in the film industry, but there was a time when the ‘Dabangg’ star had almost tied the knot.
This sensational news came from the mouth of film producer Sajid Nadiadwala. During an appearance on The Kapil Sharma show, Nadiadwala had once revealed: “Salman had gotten an attack in 1999 of getting married. He already had a girl, I had to find one for myself. Salman’s father’s birthday is on November 18, so we had decided to tie the knot on the same date.”
“Everything was set, even cards were sent out. Just five or six days before the due date, he said ‘I don’t have the mood’. After changing his mind, he came on stage during my marriage and whispered in my ears. ‘There is a car outside, take it and run away’,” he added.
While Nadiadwala did not reveal any names as to who was the bride but it is widely believed that the girl was actress Sangeeta Bijlani who called off the wedding after catching Salman cheating on her.
On the professional front, Salman will next be seen in ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’.
