Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan smoothly played the role of a wife, mother and actress. In September 21, Kareena will celebrate her 39th birthday.
Bebo, as she is popularly known, married Saif Ali Khan who is 10 years older to her.
Kareena had an affair with Shahid Kapoor before marrying Saif. But a rift surfaced after a ‘Kiss MMS’ of the couple got leaked. Saif and Kareena’s love story started during the shooting of the film ‘Tashan’ in 2008. After this the duo worked together in many films.
Kareena and Saif had a court marriage that was followed by a grand reception. Many stalwarts of the film industry had graced the party. At her wedding, Kareena wore the same lehenga which her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore wore at her wedding.
The photo of Chote Nawab’s beautiful Begum i.e. Kareena Kapoor’s bridal look went viral at that time. Designer Ritu Kumar redesigned Kareena’s Sharara, which cost Rs 50 lakh paired with a necklace worth Rs 40 lakh.
At the reception, Kareena wore a pink coloured lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra while Saif wore a black sherwani.
Kareena has a son Taimur who was born 20 December 2016. Being a star child, he always stays in the limelight.
It is worth mentioning that in 1991, Saif married Amrita Singh, who was 12 years older to him. But both of them got divorced in the year 2004.
Another interesting tidbit is the fact that Kareena attended Saif and Amrita’s wedding ceremony.
Kareen said, “Congratulations Saif Uncle” and in reply Saif said, “Thank you son.”
