Hyderabad: Nayanthara, a well-known, beautiful, and talented actress of South Indian films turns a year older today. Nayanthara is a big name in South Indian films. She is one of the highest-paid actresses. Apart from acting, she stays in the limelight for her personal life.
Nayanthara was born in a Malayali Christian family in Bangalore. His father was an officer in the Air Force due to which she spent most of her childhood travelling to different parts of the country. Nayanthara also used to do modeling during college days. In the year 2003, director Satyan Anthikad gave her a break in his Malayalam film Manassinakkare. Nayanthara ventured into Malayalam cinema through this film.
After this, in the year 2005, Nayanthara also ventured into the Tamil industry with the film Ayya. After which she also appeared in a Telugu film Lakshmi where she played lead roles in Telugu and Tamil films one after the other. With this, she joined the list of well-known actresses in the industry.
Nayanthara also made her debut in the Kannada film industry in 2010 with the film ‘Super’ after earning a name in Telugu and Tamil films. At the same time, Nayanthara was awarded the Best Telugu Actress Award for the role of Sita in the film Sri Rama Rajyam.
Born in a Christian family, Nayanthara later embraced Hinduism. She converted into Hinduism at Arya Samaj temple in Chennai. She changed her name because of her foray into films. Nayantara’s love life has also always been in discussions. Her name was first associated with director and actor Silambarasan Rajender. But in the year 2006 Nayanthara confirmed her breakup.
Nayanthara was later associated with director Prabhu Deva in 2008. There were also reports that both of them secretly got married in 2009. Even Nayanthara had tattooed the name of Prabhu Deva. But soon news of their separation also came. Nayanthara herself revealed the breakup of her and Prabhu Deva in the year 2012.
Now, she is in a relationship with director Vignesh Shivan.
