London: In a bizarre turn of events, a burglar was arrested for having sex with three corpses in a Birmingham funeral home. Kasim Khuram, 23, broke into the Co-Operative undertakers in funeral home, November 11. He was arrested after the alarm went off. When police arrived to arrest him, they saw him indulging in acts of sexuality with one of the dead bodies kept in a coffin.
Khuram, said before Judge Francis Laird in Birmingahm Crown Court that he had committed the act in an inebriated condition. The judge warned him of an extended prison sentence, but Khuram still confessed.
The accused said that he had entered the funeral parlour with intentions of burglary. However, once he saw the naked bodies of women inside the coffins, he could not resist himself from indulging in sexual acts. Before sentencing him, the judge ordered a medical examination of Khuram and asked the report to be presented to him within the next two weeks.
Baljinder Kaur, a spokesperson of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said, “This is an unusual case and it is difficult to imagine a more distressing violation of a loved one. “The defendant pleaded guilty and will now have to face the consequences.”
