Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials are yet to unravel the mystery behind the death of Kulamani Mishra, a Cuttack-based businessman who was found dead in his car parked outside the railway station here.
RPF officials said they were awaiting Kulamani’s post-mortem report and were scrutinising his call records, examining over 152 missed calls that were found on his phone.
Police said footage retrieved from the CCTV cameras outside the station was not of much help as there was another vehicle parked alongside Kulamani’s car, obstructing the view.
Kulamani’s body was spotted inside his Maruti 800 (OR-05 AC 1737) in the parking lot of the railway station here
February 2.
Railway police said they were alerted at around 6 pm and reached the spot to find the body covered with a blanket in the
backseat.
Kulamani’s brother Anand Chandra Mishra said the deceased had told his wife before leaving home that he would be picking up someone from the airport.
“My brother left the house at around 3:30 pm,” Anand said, adding Kulamani did not have enmity with anyone. Anand said he did not know if Kulamani had any marital issues or who he was going to pick up from the airport.
Kulamani was running a film distribution agency called Archita and Pramila Films Distribution Company located in Dolomundai, Cuttack.
