New Delhi: A BJD delegation comprising Dhenkanal MP Tathagata Satpathy, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Kumar Patsani and Puri MP Pinaki Misra Tuesday met Congress president Rahul Gandhi at his residence here seeking support for women’s reservation in state Assemblies and Parliament.
Satpathy said they handed over a letter from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik addressed to the Congress president seeking support for 33 per cent reservation to women Assemblies and Parliament.
“We discussed with him on women’s reservation issue and congratulated him for asking all the Congress chief ministers to go on that line. It was a very warm and cordial meeting,” said Satpathy.
