Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has now planned to seek oral answers from the NDA government in the Lok Sabha Thursday from the Centre over the progress of the solar park plan and if the Centre had been successful in meeting the targets as set by them.
As per the list of questions mentioned in the Question Hour of the Lok Sabha for Thursday, BJD Parliamentary Party Leader in the Lok Sabha Bhartruhari Mahtab is likely to rake up the issue to seek a oral reply from the Ministry of Power, New and Renewable Energy. Mahtab has also sought state-wise data relating to the project from the Union government.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Pratyusha Rajeswari Singh has been listed for asking questions from the Union Government on the panchayati raj issues. She is likely to ask the government details of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes being implemented for strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in the country and if the government proposes to launch any new scheme for the empowerment of Panchayati Raj in the country.
On the other hand Jajpur MP Rita Tarai’s question relating to revised environment norms has been listed for the Zero Hour which would evoke a written response from the government. The party on the other hand is also prepared to take part in other legislative business when discussed in the Parliament.
According to the Revised List of Business of Lok Sabha for today, the bills which have been slated to be introduced in the Lower House include- The DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill, 2018, The Protection of Human Rights (Amendment) Bill, 2018 while the legislations listed for debate in the House included- The Central GST (Amendment) Bill, 2018, The Integrated GST (Amendment) Bill, 2018, The Union Territory GST (Amendment) Bill, 2018, The GST (Compensation to States) Amendment Bill, 2018. Nevertheless, the Lok Sabha will also consider the suggestions of the Rajya Sabha on the National Commission for Backward Classes (Repeal) Bill, 2017.
