BJP to launch drive to link first time voters

Bhubaneswar: The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday announced to launch a statewide campaign to link the voters who will cast their ballots for the first time in 2019 election.
Christened as ‘I Support Modi’, the programme will be launched among the youths of the state to enable them exercise their franchise for the first time in 2019 to take the lead in establishment of a new Odisha.
State BJP Yuva Morcha president Tankadhar Tripathy told newspersons here that development of a new India is not possible without Odisha and the state would march ahead only when the youths join the ‘I support Modi Campaign’.
He said the BJD government had betrayed the youths in 2000 and 2004 who had voted for the first time but the youths who would vote for the first time in 2019 will no more be cheated.
Tripathy announced Upasana Mohapatra, the daughter of Late Congress leader Lalatendu Vidyadhar Mohapatra, as the state coordinator of the ‘I support Modi’ campaign in the state.
