Body found from railway tracks in Jharsuguda, suicide suspected

Jharsuguda/Lakhanpur: Police Friday recovered the body of a man from MCL Lazkura coal loading siding rail under Brajarajnagar area of Jharsuguda district.

Police identified the deceased as 26 years old Chhotu Singh, a resident of Ganganagar Telipada. There were a number of wounds on his body.

Sources said, Chhotu had met an accident two months ago and had sustained injuries. He was then affected mentally and physically. People saw him loitering near Ganganagar in the morning. Later, he went missing. After a while, his grievously wounded body was found on the tracks.

Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide, police said. That said, further investigation into the case is on.
