Nayagarh: The body of a newborn baby was recovered from Badagandusar bridge on National Highway 57 near Itamati in this district Monday.
According to reports, someone had abandoned a bag containing the baby girl on the side of the road. Later, dogs dragged the bag onto the road.
Some local people said the baby was alive until vehicles ran over the bag.
One being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body.
