Boxer Mary Kom joins Koo app, asks fans to follow her

New Delhi: Legendary woman boxer Mary Kom, who is also a six-time World Champion and Olympics bronze medallist has joined the microblogging platform ‘KOO’. Not only that Mary Kom has also asked her followers on Twitter to join the Made in India app Koo. After joining Koo, the boxer shared the news on her Twitter handle. The parliamentarian wrote “Hello Everyone, you can now follow me in ‘mcmarykom’ on KOO App.

In a nation ‘first’ message, Mary Kom posted a video of undergoing training. She captioned it, “If you want to push your limits. Challenge yourself everyday #Roadtotokyoolympics.”

In the recent past, Koo has been in the news as an Indian alternative to Twitter. The app is the winner of the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ award. It lets users send out tweet-like posts in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu.

Apart from Mary Kom, cricketer Harleen Deol, Neha Tanwar, hockey player Rani Rampal and Arjuna Awardee Hima Das have also joined the Koo app.
