Brahmagiri Tehsildar lodges FIR against COVID-19 patients in Puri for violating guidelines

Puri: COVID-19 warriors are regularly facing various harassments and non-cooperation from people in the state.

A similar case came to light after Brahmagiri Tehsildar Kishore Chandra Panda lodged a complaint at Brahmagiri police station Sunday for allegedly being attacked and misbehaved by family members of COVID-19 patients in Kahalapada village in Puri district.

Sources said that Panda along with his team had gone to Kahalapada village Saturday night to take eight members of a family to the COVID-19 hospital after they tested positive for coronavirus.

They argued with Panda that their test reports are false and refused to go to the hospital.

When Panda and his team tried to convince the patients they tried to attack and misbehave with them by throwing obscenities at them.

The altercation forced the officials to return from the spot. However, Panda lodged an FIR against the family for violating COVID-19 guidelines and misbehaving with corona warriors.
