Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited Mettle Meet 2026 concluded at Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar, bringing two days of intense quizzing, sharp minds and spirited competition to a memorable close.
The event brought together around 80 teams from Odisha and different parts of the country, creating a vibrant platform for young quizzers to test their knowledge, teamwork, speed and presence of mind. With Quizmaster Ajay Poonia at the helm, participants faced challenging questions across a wide range of subjects, making every round a test of both knowledge and quick thinking.
The first day saw the preliminary rounds in the junior and senior categories, with teams battling for a place in the finals. After a closely contested day, eight teams from each category advanced to the final rounds.
Day 2 witnessed the much-anticipated junior and senior finals, with finalists taking the stage and competing for the coveted Mettle Meet titles. The intense contests kept the audience engaged as teams battled through multiple rounds, with every answer and point shaping the final standings.
In junior category, DAV Unit-8, Bhubaneswar emerged as champions, while Mother’s Public School finished as the first runner-up and KIIT International School, Bhubaneswar, secured the second runner-up position.
In senior category, IIT Kharagpur lifted Mettle Meet 2026 title, with IIT Guwahati finishing as first runner-up and NLUO, Cuttack, taking second runner-up spot.
The two-day event also featured inspiring addresses from OrissaPOST and Dharitri Editor Tathagata Satpathy and CEO Adyasha Satpathy, who reflected on the journey of Mettle Meet since its launch in 2016 and its role in promoting a culture of quizzing among young minds.
From intense battles and nail-biting moments to laughter, music and celebrations, Mettle Meet 2026 brought together knowledge, curiosity and the spirit of healthy competition.
As another edition comes to a close, Mettle Meet leaves behind a celebration of learning and a new generation of quizzers ready for the next challenge.
