New Delhi: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry has nominated Brijraj Singh to head its core group on post harvest management and infrastructure under Expert Committee on Agribusiness—2015.
The committee on agribusiness – 2015 under the chairmanship of N M Kejriwal, has set up seven core groups to represent various sub sectors in the agribusiness industry in the country, a release of industry body said.
Brijraj, an agribusiness expert and one of the pioneering members in India to usher in private sector participation in agribusiness, is currently the chief executive officer of ORIGO Commodities, one of the largest private players in agri-warehousing and collateral management in India.
The chamber has set up the expert panel to help the centre and various state governments in formulation of agribusiness policies, the release added. The group comprising subject experts will study various issues and problems facing the industry and suggest solutions to the government. Agencies
