BHubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar is all set to have a Burns unit. A bhoomi pujan was organised to celebrate the event. National Thermal Power Corporation Limited will provide financial support to the project under its CSR and as per MoU agreement. NTPC will fund Rs 14.87 crore as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.The exclusive Burns Centre will have 35-beds with special ICU and OT for burn patients. The authorities claimed that the Burns Centre will have state-of-the-art facilities for burn patients. Director of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Dr Gitanjai Batmanabane, superintendent Dr SN Mohanty, Dr Sanjay Giri (Burn and Plasic surgery) and BB Tripathy, GM(OS) from NTPC limited were present in the occasion.
