Rairangpur: The private buses plying from this sub division in Mayurbhanj district have been off the road since Friday afternoon, protesting against the seizure of a bus by police.
According to reports, Rairangpur police Friday seized a bus ‘Sai Nirmalya’ for not being able to produce necessary documents.
The bus plied between Rairangpur sub division to Jamada.
Protesting against the police action, Rairangpur Bus Owners’ Association has resorted to strike. They said they would continue the strike till the bus and its driver are released.
However, due to the strike, the passengers have been facing a lot of difficulties.
When contacted, Rairangpur additional superintendent of police Ashok Kumar Pattanayak said the bus has been seized as it had no valid documents.
