The towering Croatian took just 73 minutes to complete a one-sided victory against a player ranked 110 places below him. South African Kevin Anderson also advanced with a 6-2, 7-5 triumph over fifth-seeded Frenchman Glilles Simon while Australian Bernard Tomic beat Portugal’s Joao Sousa 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
