Cinematography workshop sharpens budding filmmakers

BHUBANESWAR: The second day of Orion started with a bang as Asia’s largest content creation festival, the Indian Film Project hosted a film making workshop at the premises of Sri Sri University here Saturday.

Gaurav Dave from India Film Project conducted the workshop where he taught all the film-making basics to the participants of various colleges. They also conducted an online video-making competition whose results will be declared during Orion’s valedictory ceremony.

“I got to improve my video-making skills and the learning quotient from this workshop was to the maximum. I am so glad that through Orion, Sri Sri University, I got the opportunity to learn cinematography from the best mentor,” said a participant of the Indian Film Project workshop.

The B-Fest events concluded with a Valedictory ceremony where Rajita Bagga, President, Sri Sri University handed certificates to the winners of the B-fest events. The B-Fest events mainly focused on testing the participant’s managerial skills in different fields like Finance, Marketing, Agriculture and Entrepreneurship among others. There were participants from different educational institutions all over the state.

The day ended with a main stage cultural competition named Avalon, the War of DJs, which was judged by DJs Progressive Brothers who are Sunburn Festival’s opening DJs since 2012. After the competition ended, Progressive Brothers performed for the audience and grooved them to their EDM music.
