Balasore: A Class X girl student was critical after she was allegedly beaten up by her English teacher Saturday. She is a student of Subarnarekha High School of Baliapal block in Balasore district. The victim was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
According to sources, the girl alleged that she was beaten up for loitering outside the classroom. She fell unconscious after being thrashed by the teacher and was rushed to Baliapal CHC. Later, she was shifted to Balasore hospital after her condition deteriorated.
“Her hand was paining for which she was outside. Later, she started vomiting and fell unconscious after being thrashed by the teacher,” her friends said.
“I have not yet received any information or any complaint regarding this. I will investigate and take action as per the government provision, once I receive a complaint from them,” said Baliapal Block Education Officer Narayan Chandra Das.
