Kendrapara: Fifteen students from a private English medium school had a miraculous escape when a van carrying them overturned and plunged into a canal at Laxminarayanpur village under Rajanagar block Monday.
The local residents immediately rescued the students and all of them are safe now, reports said.
The accident occurred Monday morning while a van from St. Xavier Public School was on its way to the school.
The vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the canal when the driver lost control over the wheels.
The locals also dragged the van out of the canal using a rope.
