Cuttack, March 16: The Crime Branch (CB) has made no headway in its investigations into the question paper leak in constable recruitment test Sunday.
Two teams, each of them headed by a deputy superintendent of police (DSP), have been formed to probe the case. While one team has left for Kendrapara to look for clues into the case, the other team is conducting investigation in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, crime branch additional director general of police (ADG) Bijay Kumar Sharma said. “There is no particular clue over the question paper leak yet. Involvement of some outsiders is suspected in the case.
Forensic examination of the strong room, where the papers were stored, is under way,” said Sharma.
The CB is zeroing in on three possible areas from where the questions could have been leaked: the police headquarters where they were kept before the despatch to the examination centres, on the way to the examination centres and the strong room at the district level where the question papers were stored from March 13 to 15, sources added.
Notably, the exam was cancelled after reports of question paper lead
surfaced.
