CM felicitates women’s rugby team

Bhubaneswar, Feb 20 : Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik felicitated the Orissa women’s rugby team at the Secretariat here Friday for bringing glory to the state after emerging champions in the recently concluded National Games at Kochi in Kerala.

Among others, State Sports and Youth Services Minister Sudam Marndi, Orissa Rugby Football Association (ORFA) president Priyadarshi Mishra and secretary Upendra Kumar Mohanty were also present.

“It’s a great motivation for the team,” stated Upendra after the felicitation. Orissa eves won their maiden title in a national level competition defeating Maharashtra 17-5 in the final.
